The economy

The Netherlands — is developed industrial country. The country enters in ten the most industrially developed countries of the world. For the Netherlands stable economic growth, positive balance of the balance of payments, low rate of inflation, strong national currency and very low rate of unemployment is characteristic. The national economy is one of the most effective in Europe, it possesses enough the big flexibility and leans on significant number of fine and moderate-sized firms.

Metallurgy is developed. There are large oil refining capacities. The farmaceutical industry, manufacture of varnishes and paints is highly developed. The enterprises of food and light industry are widely spread. The Netherlands specialize on transport, financial and audiovisual services, manufacture of the software for computer firms. Bank services, insurance, financial holdings, trade in the real estate are well developed. The largest world financial market is Amsterdam.
